They Should Invent An Automatic Transcriber

rock

It’s 2015 and they haven’t invented anything to transcribe interviews. Nothing. Those in the know say it’s not possible yet.

How can this be?

Some say it’s too difficult to decipher more than one voice in a recording. I tried one automatic transcriber app. It was jibberish. Pure jibberish.

Alas, I will have to be a big girl and transcribe my own interviews until a recording genius somewhere invents a app.

There are two more interviews type this week. I can do it. I can do it as soon as my fingers unfreeze. This is why we need automatic transcribers: Freezing winters and frozen fingers. I can do it as soon as I get out from under the blankets and take off my mittens.

“Just a small town girl – living in a lonely world.” Concert tickets are practically essential. Musicals are the key to life. I like movies, music, books, and corny jokes.

  1. I think they exist. Not as cheap (or free) user-friendly apps, but as expensive business solutions. Some companies that provide Call Centre technology, like NICE, Verint, etc. claim to have robust systems for speech to text conversion.
