Looking Back: #NaBloPoMo

How often do you look back at photos you’ve taken?

Dusty old photo albums. They need a new spot.

Dusty old photo albums. They need a new spot.

All of the time. I probably look at older photos that are on the computer at least once a week.

The pictures that are in the photo albums are stored away. So I don’t look at those as much as I would like. Sometimes I don’t have time. Sometimes I don’t want to dig through the closet to get to the albums.

In fact, my boyfriend asks me every few weeks about my intentions for these photo albums. The truth is that I’m not sure. I don’t have any specific intentions.

It’s possible that I will put them on one of the DIY pallets that I’m going to make into a bookshelf. I might need two pallets just for photo albums. That is the truth.

I have lost count of the number of photo albums that I own. There have to be at least ten . . . or twenty. Thirty? Β I just remembered that I have another box of albums somewhere.

I could be the worst cook in America. My boyfriend tells his friends about my cooking disasters. I'm glad someone is amused. I like movies, music, comic books and corny jokes. View all posts by holley4734

I have 2+ steamer trunks full of ohotos, many (most) are photos that I have taken, but some a family photos – even some dating back to the 19th century. I still don’t know what to do with all of them. Hopefully someday I’ll figure it out!

I’m guessing 25,000 photos on film, from my 110 instamatic circa 5th grade, 1977, through the last Minolta Maxxim I sold off about 4 years ago at a yard sale, along with 3 lenses, for $40. Digital: about 20GB worth–maybe 40,000, but there’s a lot of raw stuff in there that i wouldn’t have saved if they were on paper.

At least with digital photos they are to hand on the computer so can be used in blogs or for making cards. I haven’t bought cards for years, but make my own using my own photos – so much more personal.

I don’t own many pictures. My sister is the one with shoe boxes full of them. But I do go through my pictures at least once a year for some reason or another. Especially recently since I just moved into a house and I’m looking for pictures of family to put in frames. πŸ™‚
