Michael Kiwanuka: Sleep Deprived Music Spotlight

Michael Kiwanuka

This review is more of a spotlight about Love & Hate by Michael Kiwanuka than an actual review. Most of my music reviews are suggestions: “Listen to this album. It’s amazing.”

Love & Hate is one of the best albums that I’ve heard in the last few years. The album was released in 2016. It’s still better than anything on the radio today. I read somewhere that he used to open for Adele.

I love Kiwanuka’s voice. It breaks my heart and then puts it back together. It’s the blues with a little soul, baby.

“Cold Little Heart” is one of my favorite songs – even beyond this album. It has a long intro but sometimes we need to be a little bit patient. I’m probably responsible for a large percentage of the Youtube views. Michael Kiwanuka is pretty awesome. I have no regrets.

“I’ll Never Love” is also a great song. It makes me want to smoke a cigarette and stare longingly out of a train window. I don’t even smoke.

If you want to hear an album that will make you feel all of the feelings, then Love & Hate by MIchael Kiwanuka is a good place to start.
