Jane Austen’s Unfinished Novels: Jane Austen, A to Z:

Jane Austen had two unfinished novels: Sandition and The Watsons. She passed away in 1817 before she could finish the novels. Two of her other novels, Persuasion and Northanger Abbey, were published posthumously.

Sandition should be available to watch on Masterpiece this year. The Watsons was adapted for the theater. I haven’t heard too much about it.

Both novels were finished by other authors. I’m not sure how successful their endeavor was. It must be daunting to finish another authors work, especially a relatively popular and successful author with a large fan base.

Has anyone read Jane Austen’s unfinished novels, Sandition or The Watsons?

A to Z Challenge

“Just a small town girl – living in a lonely world.” Concert tickets are practically essential. Musicals are the key to life. I like movies, music, books, and corny jokes.

  1. I’m in the middle of plotting out book III of my series and it went through my mind, “This is taking so long,
I’m going to die before I finish this.”

In my case, of course, nobody will care.

I’ve never heard of those two books. Thanks for the heads up!
