Sleep Deprived Music Review: Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics

Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics

So many talented musicians, including Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics, call Atlanta home. Ruby & The Soulphonics are old school soul but are not one-dimensional at all. Their sound goes beyond just one genre. What is it about Atlanta that produces great music?

Their last album, State of All Things, is available everywhere to either buy or stream. My favorite song on the album is “Broken Woman.” Listening to this album gives me hope that I will make it through everything and be able to tell my own story. Part of the reason that I like Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics is that they are storytellers. Plus, their horn section is amazing! (Insert several fire emojis here)

I highly recommend listening to it immediately. If you get a chance to see them Ruby & The Soulphonics or have seen them in the past, let me know all about the show.

I could be the worst cook in America. My boyfriend tells his friends about my cooking disasters. I'm glad someone is amused. I like movies, music, comic books and corny jokes.
