Sleep Deprived Music Review: Aaron Taylor

Icarus on Amazon. Affiliate link

Aaron Taylor, currently of London, has released his latest album, Icarus. To quote Key & Peele, “That’s My Jam!!!!” Some of us have been watching a lot of Key & Peele in between writing music reviews.

Aaron Taylor’s music sounds like a fusion of jazz/funk/RB. Also, his music sounds like honey. It’s like Taylor is a busy bee collecting flowers, making honey and then infusing all of his music with the honey. Taylor does have a song called “Flowers.” Coincidence? Perhaps.

I suppose that if you like Allen Stone, you will also like Aaron Taylor. They have a similar honey-infused sound.

My personal favorites on the album are “The Ritual,” “Flowers” and “Icarus.” The whole album is great so after you listen to it, let me know which one is your favorite. Also, let me know if you also exploded into a cloud of confetti and flower petals after listening or was it just me and Key & Peele?
