Suburban Spell, the synthwave project of Peter Endall, has a catchy single, “Bright Gold Cross,” that definitely makes a statement. Since it reminds us of all of the 80s electronica that we love, it makes sense that it has been chosen as the track of the day.
The Melbourne-based artist states,”Bright Gold Cross is about seeking redemption and how the church is a vehicle that allows you to hide your sins and hand out forgiveness at will.” Endall explains that being influenced by a religious cult during his childhood has greatly affected his music.
‘Bright Gold Cross’ is available across digital platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp, where the ‘Falling Down’ EP can already be pre-ordered ahead of its June 23 release.
