The Top Ten Tuesday topic this week is “Books that Defied My Expectations,” which was submitted Sia @ everybookadoorway.com. It is not Tuesday right now but the week is apparently getting away from me. Plus, my blog plans changed at the last minute. So here we are talking about the books that I loved unexpectedly and the books that I suprisingly did not love.
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Don’t forget to add your Top Ten Tuesday post to the linkup on her site. Please visit the fabulous book bloggers who are also participating. Comments and links are welcome!
Books I thought that I would love but did not

Gone Girl. The ending though. Ugghhhhh
The Last Werewolf. I didn’t like the main character as much as I thought I would.
The Secret Garden. When I was a kid, I kept trying to read this and love it. It never happened.
Wuthering Heights. Gosh darned Heathcliff. Why do you have to be such a weirdo?
Books I thought that I would hate but did not

The Accidental Beauty Queen. I don’t always like sweet books with nice characters. This one was pretty alright for a cute and cuddly book.
My Antonia. I thought it would be so boring but actually enjoyed.
Rosemary’s Baby. It was better than I expected.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. It seemed like such a weird concept. After reading, I’m like “Why Not? He could’ve been whatever he wanted to be. Vampire hunter. President. Whatever.”
Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Another book that I thought would be super boring but was not.
I liked The Secret Garden as a kid but not so much as an adult. It’s funny how tastes change like that.
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
