For this week’s prompt, the theme is taking a big risk.
Lucy doesn’t remember when her life became so boring but she knew every waking moment dragged on. Everything was dull – her job, her husband, her car. She waited for an answer to her prayers. Lucy thought her prayers were getting repetitious too.
One night at the gas station, she thought her prayers were answered in the form of a man on a motorcycle. He was the most interesting thing she had seen all year. She made eye contact with the biker. He asked if Lucy if she wanted to go for a ride. For once, she did not hesitate. She didn’t even bother to move her car. She got on the back of the motorcycle and did not look back on her old, boring life.
