Today, write about anything — but you must write for exactly ten minutes, no more, no less.

“The Roosevelt’s” has finally aired on PBS. My mom and I have been talking about how excited we are to watch it for about a month.
Theodore Roosevelt is utterly fascinating. No offense Eleanor and FDR but Theodore is my favorite. He overcame an extraordinary amount of adversity. He started out as a 90 lb. asthmatic. He turned out to be a beacon of health. He never overcame asthma completely but he was able to control it and lead a healthy life.
Here is another reason that I’m not crazy about facial hair, especially mustaches. Look at how handsome Theodore Roosevelt is without the mustache.
Maybe he wouldn’t have accomplished as much without the mustache. Who knows? He led an amazing life. Roosevelt was a man after my own heart. He traveled. He was an author. He was by all accounts very charming and personable.
Did you know that he was also a police commissioner? Roosevelt was a jack of all trades.
He is also on Mount Rushmore -mustache and all.

I’ve really enjoyed it. 🙂 Ken Burns has some excellent documentaries.
Yes, he does. Hugs, Barbara
cool how you move from history to facial hair – ha! and we watched the show too – and enjoyed many of the tidbits – hmm
peace
Thanks! Can’t wait to watch the next one. Just a matter of finding time. 🙂
Aww, I love the moustache! And, the glasses! What a fascinating person. He was handsome without the facial hair, too.
