New Kingston released A Kingston Story: Come From Far in 2017. Their appearance on Sugarshack Sessions made it onto the recommended YouTube videos.
While researching the band, I discovered that they have been on the Sugarshack Sessions several times. My cat, Manny Pacquimeow definitely loves New Kingston. He blocks the computer screen just about every time their video is on YouTube. If you have a chance, check out their YouTube channel.
New Kingston is an extremely talented band, which includes Courtney Panton Sr., Stephen Suckarie, Tahir Panton and Courtney Panton Jr. Courtney Sr. is the father of the other three members of the band. It would be pretty cool to play in a band with your kids.
What is great about this album
- Everyone except Courtney Sr. sings. Their voices are all awesome, yet distinctive.
- The songs do not sound the same.
- There aren’t any bad songs. It’s a solid album from beginning to end.
- Two of my favorite songs are Honorable and the Beast and Agape.
