Well, my tablet with my Kindle app has more than likely bit the dust. I cannot even tell you why. It’s a mystery. Do you know what else is a mystery? Tigers in Red Weather by Liz Klaussman contains plenty of mystery for those of you who like secrets and suspense.
This book finally made it to the top of the To Be Read Pile. I’m pretty sure that I bought it at a thrift store. The characters in Tigers in Red Weather would be horrified to know that they spent time at a thrift store. Nick and her cousin Helena have spent many summers at their family’s summer home, Tiger House, on Martha’s Vineyard.
They both marry and have children, who also spend summers at Tiger House. The kids, Daisy and Ed, find a dead body in Ed’s secret hiding spot. Ed knows who did it but he never reveals the secret to anyone, except the reader.
Everyone in the book has secrets. Some secrets are not as well kept as others. All of the characters spend so much time hiding the truth. They are all so miserable even when they are in such a beautiful place.
I did really enjoy the book but I like all of the mystery and secrets. It’s too bad that you can’t have happier characters who are shrouded in mystery.
