Ooh, it’s living with the moon You’ll understand it soon In a sweet reverie, bathing in the silver light
Karamelien
Karamelien of the UK wrote “Living with the Moon,”a brilliant song about coping with mental health issues. In a way, the song reminds me of dealing with grief and finally being able to handle life in general.
It also reminds me of my late mother, who always told people that she loved them to the moon and back. Since the song itself is a light at the end of the tunnel, “Living with the Moon” is the track of the day.
The indie pop duo includes singer-songwriter Léanie Kaleido and guitarist Mark Foster. The song is their second release from their album of the same name.
Léanie Kaleido says, “I wrote this song after a year of counselling for depression and anxiety… On our final session, my amazing counsellor Jude, who I have kept in touch with, described the acceptance of good and bad days as ‘like living with the moon’. I told her that would make a great song title and promised her I’d write it – and I did! So, the lyrics are a thank you to myself for getting the help I needed at the time, a finger to the armchair critics and the toxic people who didn’t help, and a willing surrender to the lunar power over us all.”
As of October 27, the ‘Living With The Moon’ album is available on Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp. Check out the video for “Living with the Moon” from Karamelien as well as the other links.
