Is there something you’ve always wanted to do, but never got around to starting (an activity, a hobby, or anything else, really)? Tell us about it — and tell us about what’s keeping you from doing it.
Well, there are a ton of bucket list goals on my to do list. I don’t usually have a problem starting an activity. Most of the time I get distracted and forget to finish. Sometimes I don’t have the time to finish or restart a hobby.
It might take some tinkering to fit everything that I want to do into a nice orderly schedule. Ok . . . forget orderly. It might be too much to hope for anything to be nice and neat.
Eventually, I would like to work on my children’s book and finish it. The book has been separated into two different stories since the last time that I mentioned it. I need some motivation to get back to writing the story.
Today my family completed a goal on the bucket list. We had a paint fight! I don’t think they knew it was a bucket list goal. To them, it was something fun. It was also the first time that we did a paint fight.
We mixed paint and water in water guns. I bought some white shirts for all of us. If anyone does this activity, there is no guarantee that the paint will come out of your clothes. It will come out of your hair and off of your car. Next time, I will definitely buy more paint.
Everyone had a great time! Even my middle kid, who was hesitant to do it. I helped her get her older sister. From then on she had a good time too!
My friend, Amber came over to be the official photographer. There is also no guarantee that my camera would survive a paint fight. Since Lucas dumped paint on my head, it would have been unlikely. It was all in good fun. 🙂
The last time I went to a comic book convention was in 1999 when it was still Mid-Ohio Con. Or it might have been 1998. I do remember that the special guest was Jeff Conway.
I have wanted to go back but my middle daughter has a birthday on the same weekend. This year Ohio Comic Con was on a different weekend. Some of the special guests were members of the cast of “The Walking Dead.”
I was very excited to be there. Lucas was not as thrilled. He was a trooper. Not a stormtrooper like the one I had my picture taken with. But a trooper none-the-less. Next time, I’m hoping to find Darth Vader.
So I went to see Rusted Root. It was a great show. However, I kept getting hit with a beach ball. I would like to see them again. Without the beach ball.
We took Eva to her 1st Ekoostik Hookah concert this spring. I think she liked the hula hoops better than the actual concert. But who can blame her. Everyone loves hula hoops.
Fatburger probably has great cheeseburgers. I should have had one so I could have had a cheeseburger in paradise. I gues
Lucas and I walked to the Las Vegas sign. And walked. . . for several miles . . . in the heat. . . with no water. In hindsight, we should have taken a taxi. But we made it without passing out. We have some memories and pictures. I’m glad we can laugh about it now. Well, I’m laughing. I don’t think Lucas has laughed about it yet. Maybe next year. 🙂
I would suggest wearing comfortable shoes if you visit Las Vegas. There are bus lines available – some run 24/7. I added a link to the bus routes. Remember to stay hydrated!

We also had the chance to walk on the baseball field. It was really cool.
