Nerd in the Brain’s 4th challenge is to read book with math. “And The Mountains Echoed” has a main character that is a mathematician. I think it counts.
This is the book that was stolen from me. However, I liked the book so much that I bought it again. Aside from liking the book, I was so close to finishing it that it didn’t seem right to not finish it.

Anyway, it was excellent. There was talk of math. I’m okay with talk of math. It’s okay to read about math and how people love math. I know that Nerd in the Brain loves math just like the character in “And the Mountains Echoed.”

So my first challenge is completed! I’m moving on to the second challenge – a book with red on the cover. Also, I’m making a list of books that I want to read that fulfill the challenge. Is that obsessive behavior? I don’t like math but I do like lists.

I’m adding the link to the challenge list again! Thank you Nerd in the Brain for such a fun challenge. My kids appreciate all of the books because I bribed them to read. Whatever works.

I could be the worst cook in America. My boyfriend tells his friends about my cooking disasters. I'm glad someone is amused. I like movies, music, comic books and corny jokes.

  1. Woohoo for finishing challenges…and math! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the Reading Program! πŸ˜€

By the way…are your kids also signed up? It’s a totally all-ages friendly thing, so they’re welcome to sign up and earn chances for prizes and things…as long as they have your permission, of course. πŸ™‚

    1. I think I have forgotten to sign the kids up. But they have been reading quite a bit. πŸ™‚ How do I add them? Then how do I tell you? I have also forgotten to ask these questions before.

      1. You can go here (http://nerdinthebrain.com/2015/06/03/summer-reading-program-and-the-theme-is/) and fill out the little form for each of them. If they don’t have email addresses, feel free to just use yours. And you can leave the “web site” bit blank. πŸ™‚ That will get them all signed up official style. πŸ˜€ And I’ll totally count anything they’ve read since the program started last Wednesday as long as they turn them in through the little challenge form. (I hope that made at least a little bit of sense.) πŸ™‚
