The Council: #bookreview

Well, it’s a good thing that I go through my emails to see if I missed or forgot anything. I’m human – a busy, unorganized, easily distracted human. Honestly, I was looking for another book related email but I found an email from Kayla Krantz regarding her book, The Council. So I decided to squeeze another book into the reading schedule.

Sometimes you just don’t know if you are going to like a book. There are times when I think I’m going to love a book and no – there’s no love.

I was not expecting to like this book but I really did. The plot was interesting. The characters were developed. It was hard to tell who to trust or not so there was enough suspense to want to keep reading.

Lillith and her friends, Clio and Helena, are getting ready for a ceremony which determines if they have any supernatural powers. They want to be powerful witches but not everyone develops magic. Lillith lives in an area called the Land of Five, which is governed by The Council.

There’s a cliffhanger so you’ll have to read the second book to find out what happens next. If I didn’t like the book, I would have zero interest in getting the second one. However, I need to know what happens to Lillith.

“Just a small town girl – living in a lonely world.” Concert tickets are practically essential. Musicals are the key to life. I like movies, music, books, and corny jokes.
