What Happened at Sisters Creek: #bookreview

If you are like me, you remember watching “Thriller” or “Poltergeist” and being scared to a certain degree. Heck, even as an adult I’m still too scared to watch “Poltergeist” again.

Anyway, so if you are looking for a creepy, scary book to read, then check out What Happened at Sisters Creek by Lee Anderson.

It begins innocently enough with a pregnant woman in northern Florida trying to survive. Survival comes at a cost sometimes which she soon found out. Fast forward to twenty or so years in the future, people are being killed near Sisters Creek. The police think it could be either an animal attack or a pair of escaped convicts. I won’t give away too much but they could not have guessed what or who the real killer was.

The sheriff goes on a hunt to find the first search party and any clues. He brings along a forest ranger, another police officer, a survivalist/veteran and a reporter.

Almost all of them are out of their regular element with what they are up against. Honestly, it never hurts to learn survival and combat skills. What if Bigfoot is a cannibal?! Not all forest creatures are looking for friendship – they are trying to survive too. Bigfoot might not want to be your friend.

The characters in the search party definitely learn what they are made of by the end. How well would anyone deal with a monster that you don’t see until it’s too late.

If you like gory, horror novels, then this book is perfect. Plenty of gore and horror for everyone. Horror is not the genre that I usually read but I was not disappointed. I’m still filled feelings of dread and horror – but in a good way.

If you are a cannibal or a cannibal supporter, then you might not like this book.

I could be the worst cook in America. My boyfriend tells his friends about my cooking disasters. I'm glad someone is amused. I like movies, music, comic books and corny jokes.
