Ruby Amanfu has been on the list of artists to share with you guys. There’s something special about Ruby Amanfu that I wanted to save for a fancy occasion. It wouldn’t be right though!! We cannot put Ruby on a shelf with our imaginary closet with vintage hats and lockets.
I don’t know if this will make sense but when I hear her I imagine the most beautiful, inspirational fairy. She is not a fairy. We all know she’s a real person who has a very inspirational, angelic voice. My favorite song on this album is “Save Ya.” Also, I’m not crying . . . it must have been my doppelganger or something.
Anyway, the song, “Wash it Away,” has also made it to my “Living Room Dance-off” playlist. I’m still thinking of the choreography but a person cannot lose with Ruby Amanfu in their dancing corner.
Fun fact:
Did you know that she has collaborated with Jack White? I didn’t realize Ruby was the singer in the “Love Interruption” video. I cannot count how many times I watched the video. As of today, the video has over 18 million views.
If I could pick one place to listen to this record, it would be in a magical field with flowers, fairies and butterflies. The second place would be a vintage jewelry shop, which is magical in its own way.
