Interview with . . . Jack Swagger

Jack Swagger

Minneapolis-based musician, Jack Swagger, has released his self-titled debut album. In case you were wondering, this Jack Swagger is different than the WWE wrestler/MMA fighter of the same name. Swagger is the also frontman for The Soviet Machines. By some miracle, he has found time to grace us with his presence here at Chasing Destino.

Please welcome Jack Swagger to the blog!

Tell us about your latest project.

My debut solo record is now available via DC-Jam records!

Where was your first concert as a fan? As a performer?

First concert was the junior high dance. I played the same venue the following year.

What is the secret to writing good music?

Experience, time, pain and reflection. Mostly spending lots of time getting it right.

Do you have a bucketlist? If so, what’s on it?

Travel there world, get married, have kids and play lots of guitar!

What was the last thing that you read?

Johnny Marr’s autobiography, brilliant!

What are you listening to at the moment?

Carl Barat, The Smiths and some good ole Oasis!

If you weren’t a musician, what would you be doing?

Acting, which I am also doing now!

Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?

Johnny Marr, Brian Fallon, Carl Barat for sure!

What do you want people to know about your music?

It is going to change with every record. I have so much music to make!

“Just a small town girl – living in a lonely world.” Concert tickets are practically essential. Musicals are the key to life. I like movies, music, books, and corny jokes.
