Roger Olsen the vocalist
Band/Artist Name:
Rabid Hood
Tell us about your latest project:
We wanted to start a new hard rock band. We started recording some demo songs a few years ago but it stopped there. The songs remained untouched until we got a new lead guitarist and bassist in the band in the summer of 2021 and the result is the EP Spiteful. So now we’re up and running and we are pretty excited about it.
Where was your first concert as a fan? As a performer?
I can’t remember the first concert as a fan. But my first gig I remember quite well. It was in a local town in a pub. It was the worst day of my life almost wet my pants but it went well.
What is the secret to writing good music?
When you write music in a band it is teamwork that counts – no matter who writes in the band.
Do you have a bucketlist? If so, what’s on it?
Live as much as you can and exploring every opportunity you get. I think that will cover most things in life.
What was the last thing that you read?
This interview before that the local newspaper lol.
What are you listening to at the moment?
A bit of everything when it comes to music.
If you weren’t a musician, what would you be doing?
Difficult to say a permanent job but what I don’t know.
Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?
Iron Maiden
What do you want people to know about your music?
We are a classic hard rock band with a melodic touch. With inspiration from the 70s and 80s, it is hard hitting hard rock with the influence of heavy metal, controlled sort of.
