DETHKLOK of Metalocalypse: Sleep Deprived Music Review

DETHKLOK, the most real fictional death metal band, released Dethalbum IV today. They haven’t released a new album since 2012.

“It’s very surreal having so much new ‘Metalocalypse’ & DETHKLOK this year with the trifecta of the tour, movie and album,” said Brendon Small. “I’m so excited to get on the road with the powerful  BABYMETAL, and to celebrate all the hard work that team ‘Metalocalypse’ &  DETHKLOK put in over the last two years and beyond!” 

I should have had been a listening party of some sort. Who would I invite? Should I invite people who love heavy metal? I could go in the other direction and invite people that love smooth jazz. It could be entertaining.

Does everyone love DETHKLOK? If someone doesn’t like DETHKLOK should we be friends? DETHKLOK could be the litmus test for heavy metal friendships.

Did you know that George Fisher of Cannibal Corpse and Peter Steele of Type O Negative inspired the character of Nathan Explosion? They may have also inspired DETHKLOK’s sound to some extent.

Horse of Fire is my favorite song on the album. Also, Gardener of Vengeance is going to be on my heavy metal gardening playlist. It’s going to get me motivated to kill all of the weeds.

 Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar, a full-length animated movies, is currently available to purchase Digitally from Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play and Vudu. The second album to be released, Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) will include additional songs plus a totally original movie score and will be released August 25.
