With all of the things that I’ve had to do in the last two days, I have not made time for yoga. I was disappointed but I’m still going to finish the challenge. Better late than never, right?
I did some stretching during my 2 day hiatus. I’m not sure if I would call it yoga exactly. It was more like when Woody Harrelson was stretching in “White Men Can’t Jump” or Sheldon Cooper in “Big Bang Theory.” It looked ridiculous and yet effective.
Today, I’m going to do a video found on Doyogawithme.com.
It’s been so hard to focus today. So many distractions – the weather, the new Magic Mike XXL trailer, the Rihanna, Kanye and Paul McCartney video. There was also some very exciting news. I might have danced around the house for a few minutes.
However, it’s time to get back to yoga practice. Maybe I can get that muscle in my shoulder blade to loosen up.
I always enjoy Yoga with Adrienne. In my opinion, she’s an excellent instructor.
Wow! It is day 27 of the 30 Day Yoga Challenge. I can’t believe that the challenge is almost over. I feel as if I have succeeded, although I know the challenge or my journey with yoga isn’t over.
It has definitely been an eye-opening experience. I suspected that my body and my concentration was out of shape. I didn’t know if I would improve in the yoga practice or not. After two weeks, I felt like I had improved in mind and body.
Who knew that yoga could make such a difference? Yogis. Yogis know. Or is it Yogis knew?
I’m focusing. I’m focusing. Ok. That’s not entirely true. It’s that time of day when I need to turn off the social media, get off of the phone and quit blogging for 10-20 minutes. It’s yoga time!!
(FYI: I’m totally distracted by the Rock on the Range lineup. Slash is going to be there. Sooo if you don’t see me for awhile after May, just know that I’ve stolen away in his guitar case.)
Back to the business at hand. Yoga. I need to clear my mind of all things Slash so that I can have a clear mind for the rest of the day. I can’t promise that I won’t think about all things Slash later. Hopefully, I can refocus and think of a plan to do the right yoga pose for packing myself into his guitar case.
It’s day 21 . . I think . . of the 30 Day Yoga Challenge. I misnumbered my post yesterday. So now you know, I struggle with numbers and dates, unless it’s a concert date.
Anyway, back to yoga. I still feel as though I’m making progress. No headstands yet but the balancing act is coming along nicely. I can do more poses without falling over immediately. The fish pose was much easier today than the last time.
I found this video on YouTube. I haven’t done a class with this instructor yet. It pleases me when I find new instructors so that I can have some variety to yoga practice.
Am I the only one that feels like I spend a lot of time in downward facing dog? Maybe too much time. What does that mean? What should I be learning from downward facing dog? Maybe the lesson will appear today.
I Googled downward facing dog. It’s supposed to be good for stretching, as well as relieving for sinuses and fatigue. So there it is. The reason for spending so much time in this pose – it’s good for all that ails us.
It was another late start to the day. However, I knew that I was going to fit in the yoga workout no matter what was happening.
I was searching on YouTube and found a yoga instructor that I haven’t used before. Her name is Sarah Beth and you can find her everywhere on social media. She was a great instructor. The class had a nice flow – not to fast or too slow. Just right. I’m not sure if there is a Goldilocks Yoga but this would be it.
