I finally had a free afternoon with a kid that was preoccupied. It is a rare thing around here.
The only thing on my mind for the last week has been “Orange is the New Black.” It is not a show for kids so I did not want my kid walking in at awkward moments. Seriously, it could be almost any moment in the show.
I realize that I should have been sleeping. I knew that I had to get up at 5 a.m. What can I do when “Orange is the New Black” keeps playing? I don’t have the heart to turn it off. It is so interesting and funny and inappropriate. I’m totally addicted. The characters are so well-written. By the second season, you will have your favorites and root for them like they are your best friend. At the moment, it is difficult to choose a favorite.

The list could change by next week. I’m still pulling for Red to make a comeback. It boggles my mind – in an awesome way- that Red was also Captain Janeway. It took me a minute to make the connection.
I’m not a big fan of Pennsatucky. However, some of the internet meme’s with her image are hilarious.
I haven’t finished the season yet. I’m currently on “You Also have a Pizza.” 5 a.m. comes too early sometimes. On the bright side, I have most of the week off. I could finish this show by tomorrow.
I haven’t seen it… is it a little bit like Desperate Housewives but in jail? Got nothing against DH, I even got the other half hooked on it, but I’m looking for something a little more gritty. 🙂
Just finished catching up on The Walking Dead, and am following Game of Thrones and Orphan Black, but need something to see the other nights of the week when they’re on.
It is waayyyy grittier than Desperate Housewives. Just as funny. But not as gritty as Oz.

You know, I often avoid sites that are overly popular mainly because they’re overly popular, but also because I often think they’re not really as good as they’re touted to be.
Case in point, Dexter. The show completely ended, I was bored and looking for a show rather than a movie to watch abd decided I’d check it out. Watched the pilot, tried to get through at least 2 more episodes. Found the show’s plot to be disgusting and the main character too strange, unnervingly strange. Couldn’t get through those minimum shows.
BUT, this post sites make me want to check out ‘Orange is the New Black’ 🙂

I am rewatching the show from the beginning after watching season 2 last week. I cannot stand Piper though!
Some weeks I like her more than others. It depends. Still like her better than Pennsatucky.
I keep hearing Toni Braxton talk about that show. When I have some free time I’ll check it out.
Oh, I loved what they did with this season!
The show is really well done, and I was glad this season to see less of Larry, who I find terribly irritating. I do wish we’d seen more of Lori Petty, though, who guested on the first episode or two when we Piper was in Chicago.
Oh yes. I love Lori Petty. Also not a big fan of Larry.
I find him to just be irritating. Of course, I generally find Piper to be irritating, though as she has learned more and grown during her time in prison, she’s grown on me a bit.
I wish we’d gotten to see a little more of Laverne Cox this season, too.

ha – I think this is called binge watching – ha!@ and I did not know that netflix had their own original series – sounds fun. and I am still needing to finish my Breaking Bad watching – I have about 7 episodes left… hmmmmm

Netflix also has “house of cards.” My mom loves that show.
I just finished Season 2 the other day – and oh my goodness – best season finale EVER!! Let me know once you finish it so that we can go “OMG!” together! 🙂 I think S2 was awesome, and it made sticking it out worth while! (I had some doubts in S1, and towards the end of S2).

I loooooved the first season. Haven’t found time to watch season two as I am watching all soccer games of the world cup at the moment. 🙂 Will watch it soon!
