116 Days of Summer Guests: Xotic Yeyo

Why Lookin’ Cool Requires a Mirror
By Xotic Yeyo

Prince and his characters, Morris Day and the Time are cool—
they know how to spell it; “C-O-O-L.” With a lot of purple and indigo influences Stu Sauce thinks the lyrics he writes for Xotic Yeyo are cool. However, his sense of clothing style is laughed off by his band mates. It was in 2016 at a DADA show he was gifted a couple of shirts by his friend Ecstasy making him aware that his current style needed a quick fix. A few gold splattered shirts have become a staple in what makes Stu Sauce a funky fool on the stage. His more fashion-minded band-mates, Cody Orange and Rod Reiter have since kept Stu Sauce from further looking like a clown that gets dressed by a vomiting closet.

True Story:

“Bro, you are going to wear this shirt in our Music video!”—Rod Reiter
*Stu puts on shirt for music video*
“Hey Stu, you know that shirt reminds me of a Stevie wonder album: Songs in the Key of Life”—Cody Orange
*googles album with resignation*— Stu Sauce

Much in this way it was decided that Stu Sauce had to exclusively wear the gold splattered Kanye-West-looking shirts. They make our front-man into a Super-Hero—Captain Xotic—Mr. Yeyo. He took on a plethora of nick-names by all the sound-guys, but his favorite is Mr. Yeyo.

Xotic Yeyo has a high standard of entertainment value, and looking the part really lets people listen with their eyes. The Xotic Yeyo experience should be second only to an uber-frugal Disney.  The image doesn’t stop at how Stu Sauce is looking on stage, but the atmosphere the band delivers. By bringing our own lights to the party, we do everything possible to make the party come to life. This has not only helped us as an original band get gigs, but repeat gigs from many of the venues. They know we take our roles as entertainers of an audience very serious. Selling an experience is what a live band has to do.

If we could make you taste our funk, we would do that too.

(Xotic Yeyo is a funky pop trio from Miami Florida that cook up dancy groove-songs consisting—The band is made up of Cody Orange on drums, Stu Sauce on Guitar and Lead Vocals, and Rod Reiter on Bass guitar and Backup Vocals)
